Join us for an extraordinary afternoon of West African culture when griot master Thione Diop from Dakar, Senegal, returns to NPAC after last season’s electrifying sold out show, bringing together an exciting array of talented performers from Senegal, Ghana, Mali, Guinea, Benin, South Africa, and Cameroon. Musicians, singers, and dancers will perform a mixture of traditional rhythms and contemporary influences, with the unique sounds of the kora, balafon, and djembe, djun djun and tama drums. The lobby will open at 2:00 pm so you can experience West African food, drink, art, and a short film before helping NPAC welcome back the Kasumai Africa show.
